According to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan signed on March 17, 1997 on “Upon the application of daylight saving time in the Azerbaijan Republic”, every last Sunday of March clocks are turned forward one hour signaling the start of summer daylight saving time. Summer daylight saving time is abolished by turning clocks back an hour. The State Agency for Standardization Metrology and Patents is controlling the fulfillment of the decision.
The State Agency for Standardization Metrology and Patents told APA that according to the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers Azerbaijan will revert to the standard time by turning clocks back an hour at 05.00 on October 27, 2013.
